Surprisingly Cillian seems to enjoy bath time.

3 weeks with Cillian

Baby Cillian has been with us 3 weeks now. We are doing the best we can to be good parents to our little man. He currently weighs 9.5 lbs...I can't believe how much more he has gained since birth! He usually falls asleep every time we go for a walk with the dogs and he loves being outside. Some days we seem to go through 3 different outfits from various mishaps and he hates being changed. When he sleeps he will have occasional moments of "Praise Jesus Hands" and throws his hands up high briefly. His hair looks like it will have a bit of red in it although it's hard to tell exactly what it will look like right now. Most important, he loves listening to oldies music...especially the Dirty Dancing soundtrack.

2 weeks with Cillian

We have had two weeks with Cillian and are loving every minute....we have also both been peed on quite a few times. This boy is gonna be a handful but we love him no matter what. He is becoming quite animated already. 

Welcome to the world Cillian Malone Rucker!

On the morning of my due date, August 3rd, I started going into labor. It was a very slow process filled with painful and long contractions. Around 10pm on August 4th, we went to the hospital and patiently waited to become 10 cm dilated. Unfortunately, Cillian was not turned correctly and I had been up for 48 hours with zero energy remaining. The doctors felt it was best to perform an emergency C-section. At 10:28 AM on August 5th we met our sweet boy!

Cannot believe how blessed we are to have a beautiful, healthy boy. We are so excited to watch him grow up. 

Less Than 2 Weeks!

Got some maternity photos taken today. Unfortunately, my awesome sister is not close enough to take pictures of us so we had to do them ourselves. This is why we have decided to save up for our own personal jet to fly family over whenever we want. :) 

Anniversary and only 4 weeks till Cillian!

This past week marked our 2 year anniversary! Cannot believe we are married and living in Germany...plus a baby on the way! I am getting very ready for Cillian to be born. Being 36 weeks pregnant makes it close to impossible to do anything physical. Looking forward to my belly going back down soon. 

2 year anniversary is the cotton anniversary. I decided to write out our vows on cotton cloths!

We started the day with a delicious breakfast buffet across the street followed by a nap for me. Later we played with the dogs in the backyard and took in some sun. It was simple and perfect!

I hope he doesn't want to stay in my belly much later than his due date. I am starting to run out of clothes that fit. :)

The next major town over from us is called Bremen. It has such a cute Market place! We were rushing through it because it was so rainy. We will definitely be going back.
