We took a walk yesterday and came across an old car show in the Market Place.
We also found these brass bricks spread around in front of different buildings with names on them. These are called Stolperstein or Stumbling Stones. They were designed to commemorate victims of the Holocaust. They are placed in front of victims homes (which now are office or shopping stores) with the names, which camp they were taken to, and where they died. There are roughly 50,000 laid out now. Quite the fitting name, Stumbling Stone, so you take a minute to notice them when you stumble over them.
This is a bronze map of our city...I am fairly certain we were standing about where we were pointing to.
